NASA's Deep Space Network to Play Beatles on Monday

The Beatles' "Across the Universe" is set to be beamed out by NASA into open space. The event will take place at 7:00 p.m. EST (0000 Feb. 5 GMT) on Feb. 4 using the space agency's Deep Space Network, or DSN. The 1969 song will travel the distance between the Earth and the North Star, Polaris, with at a speed of 186,000 miles per second. "Amazing! Well done, NASA!" Paul McCartney said in a message to the space agency. "Send my love to the aliens. All the best, Paul."
